Handmade Clothing and Accessories From the Heart of Appalachia
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alana Danielle wright

I am a creator rooted in the lush, resilient heart of Appalachia (Western North Carolina), where the rhythms of nature and the land guide my hands and imagination. With a Bachelor’s degree in Art, I blend my love for storytelling, sustainability, and sensory connection into every piece I make.
As an animist and naturalist, I see the world as alive with meaning—where trees, rivers, and creatures carry stories waiting to be told. My work is deeply intertwined with this perspective, reflecting a reverence for the organic and the handmade. As a neurodivergent artist and mother, I channel my experiences into designs that honor individuality, comfort, and connection to the earth.
My clothing and textiles are crafted entirely by hand, using natural, organic, and sustainable materials. Each piece is thoughtfully made to be gentle on the body and the planet, designed with sensory-friendly features for those who, like me, thrive in harmony with their environment. Whether it’s the texture and earthy scent of natural fabrics, the pure expression of bespoke colorways, or the quiet joy of wearing something made with intention, my work invites you to slow down, feel, and connect.
Here, in the mountains of Appalachia, I find inspiration in the turning of the seasons, the wisdom of ancient forests, and the quiet strength of the natural world. Every stitch is a tribute to the land, the creatures who share it with us, and the communities we build—one thread at a time.
